This large diptych has an immediate impact on the observer. One gets the feeling that the real protagonists of the scene are the three painted characters who observe us. The lateral mirror has a decisive effect of disorientation of the observatory. The touch of magic is added by the little zebra that moves freely inside the house. Another element of irony and bewilderment is the TV with a scene from the film "Madagascar", King Julien and his sons indicate the Zebra with surprised faces!
In the centre, the house opens onto a blue sky with white clouds where a solitary palm and a banana tree stand out.

In the mirror in the foreground a famous woman sitting on the floor looks in the mirror surrounded by thick exotic vegetation. To the right, a zebra seen in perspective passes through a door looking in the direction of the woman. At the top stands the top of Burj al Arab, symbol of Dubai.

This work is a synthesis of the pictorial work of Annika Gegel. It contains some fundamental and recurring elements, first of all the mirror which gives structure and depth to the work.
The subject in the foreground is her Senegalese friend Adama with bare back reflected in a circular mirror with a frame worked with meticulous details.
The second recurring element is the artist herself seen in the mirror in the act of painting her model in an exotic landscape with banana trees and palm trees, the third recurring element.

This second work, which has Adama, the artist's friend, as its subject, has a structure similar to "Infinity" but with a rectangular mirror. The artist's self-portrait inside the mirror is surrounded by a landscape with pink clouds, a blue sky and a giant crescent moon. In the foreground, exotic plants, a large brawler and a green parrot descend.

A scene freely inspired by the music video created by the afrobeats artist Rema in collaboration with Selena Gomez. On the right, the ever-present mirror with an exotic landscape, while under the panel a lemur converses with the observer.
